McCabe’s burger night for dinner: delicious miso-marinated tofu with wasabi mayo and goat cheese again.
Random date night dinner at Tuscano’s: a Negroni, Caesar salad for two, and pesto cream fettuccine with mushrooms and spinach for me. The fresh pasta was amazing!

The Mister’s birthday is next Monday but we won’t be together in the same city. I decided we would celebrate early with a dinner at McCabe’s. What lured me was the half price burger special on Tuesdays but we weren’t expecting much more than your standard pub fare. Surprise! Best pub food we’ve had in a while! We started with curry poutine, which was fries baked with curds with a creamy curry gravy you drizzle on by yourself. Then I had a miso-y tofu “burger” with wasabi mayo and goat cheese, with a Greek salad on the side. The Mister went with the on-special organic beef burger with Swiss, sautéed mushrooms, jalapeños, and horseradish mayo, with a Caesar salad on the side (sorry for the lack of evidence). Fresh food and huge portions!
For a Sunday drive and a Sunday dinner combo, we drove from Waterloo to Cambridge for dinner at The Bombay Grill. We had mango beer, vegetable pakora, palak paneer, dal makhani, and paneer shashlik. Worth the trip.
Delicious beer date! We went to Imbibe last night for dinner paninis and craft brews. My sandwich had lots of veggies, mozzarella, and pesto mayo. The Mister went for the on special pork loin, brie, and green apple. After dinner, we headed to the Lion Brewery for more drinks.
