I remember Boomers Gourmet Fries being around ever since I first started going to Stratford (at least five-ish years ago?). I never paid them a visit because whoever I was with while I was in town wasn’t interested in having poutine for lunch. Then the Mister came into my life and now we fight our poutine addiction together. Boomers was also featured on You Gotta Eat Here!, which made be all, “I knew about this place before it was on TV.” We decided to [finally] try some poutine and burgers for Sunday lunch - our last meal in Stratford before we hit the road. Here are my poutine thoughts: not the squeakiest of curds but points for actually using curds, really tasty gravy that wasn’t a salt bomb in my mouth, and the fries… The fries! Amazing. We approve.
